8th Day of Christmas

Today is the 8th Day of Christmas. The 8 maids a milking are said the symbolise the 8 beatitudes from the sermon on the mount. Although I do not consider myself a Christian, I think these lessons are so important now more than ever!

Ways to honour the day:

-Donate unwanted Christmas gifts to a local group or charity.

-Send a thoughtful gift to someone in mourning.

-Think about how you can help a cause that is dear to you.

-Ask an old friend if they fancy a cuppa and a chat.

-Think on regrettable actions and how to rectify them.

-Consider a random act of kindness.

-Spend some quality time with family.

-Contemplate how to support marginalized communities in or out of your community.
