10th Day of Christmas
Today is the 10th Day of Christmas. The 10 lords a leaping are said to symbolise the ten commandments. Although I do not wholly subscribe to these, for a variety of reasons, many of them are pretty solid advice! Ways to honour the day: Contemplate the teachings of your faith. Take some time for you. Yesterday was the 9th Day of Christmas. The 9 ladies dancing are said to mirror 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit. 8th Day of Christmas
Today is the 8th Day of Christmas. The 8 maids a milking are said the symbolise the 8 beatitudes from the sermon on the mount. Although I do not consider myself a Christian, I think these lessons are so important now more than ever! Ways to honour the day: -Donate unwanted Christmas gifts to a local group or charity. -Send a thoughtful gift to someone in mourning. -Think about how you can help a cause that is dear to you. -Ask an old friend if they fancy a cuppa and a chat. -
