Today, is said to be the Advent of Isis. Although there are several dates to honour the Egyptian Goddess, this date signifies the rebirth of the seasons and the start of the sailing season. During Ploiaphesia, ships were dedicated to her as she was the goddess of safe passage and navigation amongst other things.
